Tri-League Kickoff Meeting and Brunch. Join the LWVs of the Beach Cities, Palos Verdes Peninsula, and Torrance Area as they begin the coming year's activities with their annual joint Kickoff Meeting and Brunch.

Presentation: "Will You Know How To Cast Your Ballot in Future Elections? The Many Challenges To Managing Elections in Los Angeles County: Rolling Out A New Voting System and an Electorate Larger Than The Population of 42 States." Speakers: Phillip Verbera, Community & Voter Outreach Manager for the Registrar-Recorder/ County Clerk's Office and Efrain Escobedo, Governmental & Legislative Affairs Manager for the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Office. LWV L.A. County: Ballot Briefing and Advocacy Workshop. League members from throughout Los Angeles County will meet to learn about the measures on the November 4 General Election ballot. This is a "must" for those who are preparing to give Pros & Cons presentations on the ballot measures.

Coffee will be served. The Advocacy Workshop will take place in the board room. No reservations are required.

Candidates Forum: State Assembly, Congress, and State Senate. Candidates Forum for the 66th State Assembly District, 33rd Congressional District, and 26th State Senate District. Seeing and hearing the candidates in person is a great way to find out more about their stands on the issues and decide who you want to vote for.

Free and open to the public. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, and UCLA Government and Community Relations.
